Citywire wrote about Augmentum in this article from 19th June.

“Trusts such as Augmentum may be the only way private investors can get access to the market-leading companies of the future.

Most parts of the private equity market are dominated by US companies and US investors. In fintech, Augmentum has an advantage in that this is an area where the UK, especially London, dominates, with around 50% of the market. Germany, another market that the trust is prepared to do deals in, accounts for a further 25%. The team were early investors in this area and have good contacts to exploit.

The early success of Augmentum reflects the depth of experience in the management team and shows how closed-end funds might be able to get early-stage investment right. I wish it good luck with its expansion plans.”
