Exploring the Welsh fintech ecosystem with FinTech Wales

Augmentum CEO Tim Levene and Marketing Director Georgie Hazell Kivell spent two days in Cardiff exploring the fintech ecosystem hosted by Sarah Williams-Gardener and FinTech Wales.

The trip included dinner hosted by Deloitte with key figures from across the industry in attendance, a roundtable discussion on ‘Why Wales’ in Cardiff Castle, hosted by Ken Poole and his team at Cardiff Council, and a fireside chat and a number of 1-to-1 sessions with founders at FinTech Wales’ HQ.

Tim commented: “Success stories create the next generation of entrepreneurial heroes and we therefore must continue to be louder and prouder of the high quality organisations and talent there is in Wales, and make sure Wales is globally recognised as an emerging hub of fintech excellence.”
